Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Outside In ("we", "us") collects through outsideinband.com, why we collect it and what we do with it. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to reply to your enquiry.

Who we are

Outside In is a 3-piece indie rock covers band based near Peterborough, UK. You can contact us about anything in this policy at outsideinmusic@hotmail.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we receive the details you enter:

• your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number
• your event type, date and venue or location
• any songs you mark as must-plays or songs to avoid, and any other song requests
• anything else you write in the message box

We don't collect anything else about you, and we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, check our availability, send you a quote and, if you book with us, plan and deliver your event. Our legal basis is that you've asked us to do this (taking steps before entering into a contract), and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries. We will never sell your details or use them for marketing you haven't asked for.

Who handles it

• Web3Forms receives the form and forwards it to our email inbox.
• Microsoft (Outlook / Hotmail) hosts the inbox where your enquiry arrives.
• IONOS hosts this website.

These providers process your information on our behalf and only to provide their service.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any booking that follows. After that, we delete them.

Information stored in your browser

If you mark songs in our repertoire, your choices are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there when you reach the quote form. This information stays on your device and isn't sent to us unless you submit the form. You can clear it at any time using the "Clear" button or your browser settings.

Links to other websites

Our site links to our Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Just email outsideinmusic@hotmail.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
